Verona
Verona stand on the banks of the Adige in a hilly setting and
is, after Venice, the finest art centre in Venetia. The opera
and theatre summer season at the Arena both draw large crowds.
Verona is also the setting of the drama of Romeo and Juliet,
immortalized by Shakespeare.
Juliet’s Tomb is in the Cloisters of the Chruch of San
Francesco al Corso, where it is said the two young lovers were
married.
